Chicken Marinade

Whip up some Chicken Marinade made with 7UP®, and add a tasty kick to any chicken dish.

Throw together this easy chicken marinade recipe in minutes. The sweetness of 7UP combined with the salty soy sauce and tangy horseradish add flavor and moisture to your chicken. A great marinade has more than one taste profile, and this one has a few. It creates chicken that’s delicious on its own or added to stir-fries, tacos, pasta dishes, and more.


  • 2 cups 7UP®
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. horseradish (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 cup oil
  • Chicken pieces

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 10 minutes
  • Ready In: 8 hours 20 minutes
  • Serving Size: 4-6 people


  • In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients together.
  • Trim chicken, and poke holes with fork.
  • Place chicken in a 9x13-inch pan, pour marinade over top, and cover.
  • Place in fridge. Marinate 8 hours or overnight.
  • Cook chicken thoroughly, in your desired manner.
