Tips from 7UP

What are bitters? Bitters are a common addition to cocktails, often just a dash or splash at a time. They pack a lot of flavor in just a few drops because of their concentrated nature. Bitters are made by infusing a neutral alcohol with aromatics, including roots, seeds, fruits, herbs, or spices. The “regular” bitters in this recipe can be Angostura bitters, a common brand found at any number of grocery stores. Orange bitters should be close by on the shelf or easily found at a good liquor store.
